It was clear that Austin loved his job. It wasn't because of the smiles on the kids that he greeted, making them believe in magic or any of that sentimental stuff. Austin Oliver Beighley loved his job because it was one of the easiest he had ever had. Going into work, he didn't have to comb his hair or even put on nice pants. He just went to work in jeans and t-shirt, get his make-up done by professionals, slipped into his costume and put on a smile. Signing autographs and taking pictures wasn't exactly the hardest job on the planet. Plus, he got breaks almost every fifteen minutes since it was got so hot in Florida. It was the perfect job for him, all he had to do was look pretty and not make kids cry. However, Austin knew that the best perk of having a job at Disney World was that he got into any of the parks for free, whenever he wanted. Now, he wasn't a huge fan of most of the rides but some of the thrill rides and the general atmosphere of the parks was kind of soothing at times. And it was a fun way to pick up chicks that wouldn't be in town longer than a week.
It was 6:15pm and Austin had just gotten out of his shift at Magic Kingdom. It had been a pretty uneventful day over in Fantasyland. He had been in a few parades and done a couple hours of meet and greets but it was just the normal screaming kids and overjoyed, crying teenagers. Nothing out of the ordinary. He had taken his time to change out of his costume and wash the gel out of his hair, convinced that he wasn't going to go home right away. Not tonight. For one reason, it was beautiful out. Being the beginning of the summer, the real heat had yet to come to central Florida and the evenings were still a nice, breezy 75 degrees. Two, there was no way he was going to go home alone on a Thursday night. It was pretty much the start of his weekend and Austin was going to start the ritual festivities right. His plan consisted of taking the monorail over to Epcot, grabbing some dinner in either France or Japan, maybe go on a few rides and then head to Downtown Disney to see if there was anything going on down there. Now in a casual yet nice-looking jeans and shirt, he boarded the monorail and silently laughed at all the exhausted looking tourists that were ending their day at the Magic Kingdom.
